What Makes Regulator Boats Different?

Regulator is best known for its offshore-focused Deep-V center console boats. The traditional Offshore Series uses a 24-degree deadrise hull, a design that gives the boats a deep, aggressive entry and is intended to provide a controlled ride when conditions get rough. Regulator also builds its boats by hand and emphasizes consistency in construction, materials and fit and finish.

Another thing that stands out is how much equipment is included from the factory. Regulator says its boats are equipped with more standard features than many boats in their respective classes, including factory-installed Garmin electronics, Yamaha power and Seakeeper Ride on much of the lineup.

That means you're not necessarily starting with a bare-bones boat and adding every major feature afterward. Depending on the model, things such as advanced electronics, stabilization, freshwater systems, fishboxes and premium seating are already part of the package.

Regulator also backs its boats with a five-year structural warranty and a one-year stem-to-stern warranty. Yamaha engines and factory-installed Garmin electronics have additional warranties through their respective manufacturers.

Regulator Offshore Series vs. XO Series

Before getting into individual models, it's important to understand the two main families in the Regulator lineup.

Regulator Offshore Series

The Offshore Series includes the 23, 25, 28, 31, 35, 37 and 41.

These boats are designed around offshore fishing and performance. The 24-degree Deep-V hull is a major part of the Regulator experience, and the larger models are designed for serious offshore runs, tournament fishing and extended time on the water.

Regulator XO Series

The 24XO, 26XO and 30XO take a different approach.

The Regulator 23 is the smallest boat in the Offshore Series, but it doesn't feel like a stripped-down version of a larger boat.

Regulator 25

More boat than the name suggests

The Regulator 25 sits between the 23 and 28, but it's a substantial offshore fishing boat in its own right.

One of the most popular all-around Regulator models

The Regulator 28 is where the lineup starts to feel like a serious big-water center console while still remaining manageable enough for many private boat owners.

The All-New 2027 Regulator 31

A familiar hull with a major redesign

The 31 has always been one of the more performance-oriented boats in the Regulator lineup. For 2027, Regulator took the model much further.

Instead of simply adding a few new options, Regulator gave the 31 a full redesign, taking inspiration from features introduced on the Innovation Award-winning Regulator 35.

This is where the 2027 model really separates itself from previous versions.

Raised Bullnose Toe Rail

The redesigned 31 gets a raised bullnose toe rail inspired by the larger Regulator models.

Besides giving the boat a more substantial look, the raised toe rail creates a more secure feeling when you're working your way around the bow or fishing from the forward section of the boat.

Redesigned T-Top

The T-top received one of the biggest updates.

The system uses a high-output lithium battery managed through Regulator's MyHelm system, along with two 80-amp bidirectional DC-to-DC chargers and a 50-amp battery charger.

In practical terms, this gives the 31 a more modern electrical architecture while helping simplify the management of the boat's systems.
